Gregory Allan “Greg” Snider, age 43, of Oblong went to Heaven on December 25, 2013 to celebrate Christmas eternally.
Greg was an avid gun collector, loved gardening, an outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish, farm, country cruise, ride his Ranger, hang out at the gun shop and watch Duck Dynasty. He was a loving father, husband, and friend. He was a family man, loved children, loved to help others and was a prankster at heart.
He will be sadly missed by many until we can be together again forever. He was a hard worker all of his life. He worked for Ross Oil Company, worked on his family farm and had been employed at Hershey Robinson for 20 years; a graduate of RHS Class of 1988 and a LTC graduate as a machinist in 1990; member of the Prairie Licking Twp. Fire Deptment for several years and presently serving as a township trustee for Licking Township. Greg loved serving his community.
He was born on June 11, 1970, in Robinson, IL., the son of Russell Snider and Nancy (Burner) Snider. On July 17, 1997, he married Rachel Clark Postlewait and she survives. Other survivors include his parents, Russell and Nancy Snider of Robinson, IL.; daughters Katlin Snider and Harlei Postlewait, both of Oblong, IL.; several aunts, uncles, cousins and his many friends.
Greg was preceded in death by a son/best friend, Stephen Postlewait; paternal grandparents, Ralph and Blanh Snider; maternal grandparents, William H. “Bill” and Stella Burner.
